Neil Davis Racing was started in the 60s by Keith Neil and Fred Davis.
There was two parts to the company a retail shop in Sidcup Kent, that sold modified
parts for vehicles, engines, suspension, body work etc. The workshop was in Plumstead
SE18, where Neal Davis modified vehicles.
The main cars worked on were Lotus, Fords, Mini's, Imps, etc. These were brought
in by enthusiasts' from Boy racers to older guy's who were just into cars. All modifications
were done at this workshop from stage 1 to stage 5 engines suspension, tuning, tyres,
just about anything.
Each car would have a 0 to 60 time when the car came in to us, depending on what
mod's the car had it would then be taken for another 0-60 test after the improvements
were completed.
In later years the company mainly worked on lotus.
Thanks to John Norton, a former employee of Neal Davis Racing for this brief synopsis.
