J.A Pearce were another company who were intimately linked with the performance scene of the 1960's & 70's. Recognised as race car chassis specialists they are most well known for their range of JAP Manga Magnesium alloy wheels.

Although at least two styles were available at one time or another the most famous pattern was the JAP Magna type 1. This has become something of a legendary article amongst 60's tuning fanmatics over recent years, with original examples commanding very high prices indeed.

Renowned for being well designed, amazingly strong & light the JAP Magna was one of the wheels of choice for the privateer racer during the latter 1960's & 70's.

Like so many other motor related businesses of this period JA Pearce continued trading into the 1970's but after a major fire in their premises when many patterns & tools were destroyed they decided to shut up shop.
