Original Downton Literature & Memorabilia
|
In each of the sections below you will find links to copies of original Downton literature, all the copies are scanned at 1:1 and are downloadable. I am afraid that I have had to save them at 75 dpi so the printed quality isn't fantastic, but where else would you find any of this information? If you have any other original Downton paperwork you woyld like to share with other fans, contact me I will be very happy to post it here. |

Original Downton Memorabilia This is an example of a genuine Downton Rocker cobver / boot badge. They were fitted to many of the cars fitted with Downton equipment throught the 60's. Although repros are being made nowadays, none of them are even vaguely like the real thing, pictured here. Oh boy, am I pleased to be able to get to the bottom of this one. Here is an example of an original Downton key ring. once again very close to the repros but not really close enough to be confused once you have seen a real one. (Image courtesy of Ray Shepherd). Click on the thumbnail above for a look at two of the official exibitors badges worn by Ray Shepherd while representing Downton Engineering on their stand during the Racing Car Show. Ray was a long time Downton employee and for many years was forman in the experimental department, working very closely with Daniel Richmond on new & inovative products for BMC. |
