ALEXANDER PICTURES

I have recently received a set of pictures featuring EKX 210 B The Alexander sponsored Cooper 'S' that was driven so successfully in the mid 60's by Tony Lanfranchi, these pictures are from the personal collection of Mr. Anthony Howlett a former Alexander employee, who also supplied information as to who was who. I would also like to thank another former Alexander employee Mr. Bernard Teyrrell has also been kind enough to supply some images and information as well. I hope to be able to dramatically increase the Alexander section in the not too distant future.

I would like to thank Russ Filby of the Turner Register for his great help in compiling this page, and of course to Mr. Anthony Howlett for supplying the pictures. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

A superb view of EKX imediately before the off.

The tall gentleman leaning in to the car is Alexander MD Michael 'Alexander' Christie and the driver, Tony Lanfranchi.

"thats right, you start it with that key", everyones an expert nowadays!

And they are off!

EKX shows the competition the way.

The pits at Brands Hatch in a 6 hour saloon car race, circa 1963.

The driver alighting was Elizabeth Jones, she handed the drive over to Timo Makinen. At the front is Anthony Howlett at the rear of the car, was someonecalled Gary he was unfortunately killed in a motor accident, and the guy to the back (wearing the hat is Gerry Bristow) I can just be seen behind the pit wall.

Mick survived this very serious accident, but it more or less finished his racing career.
